Policies – Terms – Conditions

Below is a list of our Policies, Terms and Conditions. Please be sure to read these thoroughly before booking or staying with  us. By booking and staying with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.


Payments

  • Payment is taken 3 days prior to arrival which is when the non refundable cancellation period begins. 

  • Payment is taken from the credit card provided at time of booking. If this credit card is invalid or has insufficient funds, your booking may be cancelled.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made up to 3 days prior to arrival are fully refundable and will not incur a cancellation fee, unless a non refundable rate was booked. If a non refundable rate was booked, there is no refund.

  • Cancellations made within 3 days of arrival are non refundable.

  • No shows are not refundable.

Check In and Check Out

  • Check In – Anytime after 2:00PM

  • Check Out – Anytime prior to 10:00AM 

Reception Hours

  • Reception hours are 8:00AM to 6:00PM Everyday

  • For Arrivals after 6:00pm please contact Reception during office hours on 07 5536 6244 or anytime via email info@goldcoastairportmotel.com.au for information.

  • Bookings made the same day as arrival must check in prior to 9pm or booking will be treated as a no show. Contact Reception prior to 6pm if any questions

Large Items

  • Items such as bicycles or other roadgoing vehicles, surf boards, surf skis etc, are not permitted in the room. We are happy to store them in our storage room but they can only be accessed during Reception opening hours.

Smoking

  • We are a non smoking premises, however we do have a designated smoking area at the front of the building for our guests that smoke. Smoking is not permitted in or near the rooms or building, including balconies, outside rooms and the car park, it is only permitted in the designated smoking area. Please consider others when smoking and don’t light up until in the smoking area.

  • Smoking in the room or anywhere other than the designated smoking area will incur a penalty of $250. This policy is abiding with Queensland Law.

Cooking

  • Cooking is not permitted in rooms however we do supply a microwave for heating food and drink as well as a toaster. We also supply cutlery and crockery at no extra cost to you. Heating food or drink in the microwave is fine but any other form of cooking in the room will incur a cleaning penalty to be determined by management. 

Service Dogs

  • Although we are more than happy to allow service dogs to stay with guests that require them, we only have one room suitable due to it being our only room without carpet. We cannot allow dogs in any rooms with carpet due to potential allergies of future guests. Please check availability with us before booking.

  • The only suitable room is a Queen Room so can only accommodate a maximum of two people.

  • Please note that you must present an official ID card  for the service dog prior to booking being confirmed. 

Additional Fees

  • All online bookings using American Express credit cards incur a 2% surcharge. Visa and Mastercard do not incur a fee.

  • It is a condition of staying at this Motel that a credit card number is provided (or a cash amount to be determined by the Motel) as a room bond. You give permission for the Motel to take any due fees for any of the below reasons.

    • Any items taken or damaged

    • Any part of the room damaged

    • The room being left requiring extra cleaning. This fee will be dependent on the amount of additional cleaning required.

    • In accordance with our No Smoking and No Cooking Policies

    • Children from 0-1 are treated as an infant and children aged 1 year and over are treated as an adult and must have their own bed or portacot. 

    • Exceeding maximum numbers will incur a fee and extra people may be refused entry.

Bookings

  • Bookings are not confirmed until a valid credit card is provided. This means a card with available funds and expiry date that will not expire before booking. Failure to provide this means the booking is not confirmed and the room could be on-sold. If you are unable to provide a valid card, a cash room bond is required and can be collected upon departure after 8.00am, once room is vacated and checked. We take full payment 3 days prior to arrival on the credit card provided.

Rates

  • Rates are subject to change at any time without notice. Any changes will not effect bookings already made and confirmed.

  • If you need to book multiple rooms, please contact us to discuss options and discounts.

Behaviour

  • Management reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove, any guest(s) they deem to be not abiding by any of our policies, or for any other reason decided by Management.

  • This includes rudeness to staff, excessive noise and lack of consideration to other guests, damage to property, etc, etc.

Parking

  • Guests are allocated one parking bay per room and guests park their vehicles at their own risk. The bay is not allocated so you are free to use any available bay. Our premises are under 24 hour video surveillance but the Gold Coast Airport Motel take no responsibility for vehicles left. If guests bring more than one vehicle they will either be charged extra or asked to move the vehicle out onto the sreet.

  • If guests check out and leave vehicle on premises it will be towed at guests expense. Please check with Reception if you wish to leave vehicle after check out for any reason.

Transfers

  • Complimentary transfers are available to the airport (we do not pick up). These are available during between 7am and Midday and must be booked in advance no later than 7pm the night before. Transfers are subject to availability so book early.

Room Key

  • Loss of the room key will incur a fee of a Locksmith to replace the locks. The fee will be determined on the day by the Locksmith obtained. The charge is on average approximately $150 on weekdays and $180 on weekends. The Locksmith invoice will be provided as proof of cost.

Storage

  • We are happy to store your luggage on the day of check in if arriving early, and on the day of check out for collection later that day at no cost. We can also offer storage for longer periods for a small fee per items. Contact reception for a quote, terms and conditions apply.

Parcels and Mail

  • We do not accept or store parcels or mail on behalf of guests. If you wish to receive mail during your stay, please have it sent to a local Post Office where you can collect it free of charge. Any mail or parcels that arrive for guests will not be accepted or returned to sender.
